This is my friends bike. I have run a 12v line from the battery to the relay. To trip the relay I needed a switched source of power. I found that from the horn on the GS500 (on my bike I used the license plate light). This means that the auxillary power lead I have created is only switched on when the horn has power - which is only when the ignition is turned on.
